Preperation Guide
To make your property look its absolute best and ensure a smooth shoot, please follow these steps
Kitchen: Clear worktops of dish racks, sponges, washing-up liquid, and excess appliances. Remove all fridge magnets, notes, and photos.
Bathrooms: Hide all personal toiletries (toothbrushes, shampoo bottles, razors, soap bars). Hang clean, neatly folded towels.
Bedrooms: Make beds tightly with wrinkle-free bedding and plumped pillows. Put away all clothes, shoes, and nightstand clutter.
Living Areas: Hide loose charging cables, extension leads, remote controls, and stacks of paperwork or magazines.
Outdoor Setup: Uncover patio furniture, wipe down tables, and open up garden umbrellas.
Tidy Outdoor Spaces: Mow the lawn, sweep patios/paths, rake leaves, and coil hosepipes neatly out of sight.
Clean Windows & Glass: Wipe down windows, glass shower screens, and large mirrors to remove smudges and water spots.
Check Lightbulbs: Ensure all overhead lights, lamps, and cooker hood lights are working (replace any blown bulbs so lighting is warm and consistent).
Declutter Storage Areas: Clear out excess clutter from main living spaces and hide boxes or items stored under beds.
Final quick checks right before the appointment
Move Vehicles: Move all cars, vans, bins, and bicycles away from the front drive/street so the exterior view is completely clear.
Toilet Lids Down: Double-check that every toilet lid in the house is closed.
Turn On ALL Lights: Switch on every overhead light and lamp throughout the house (including bedside, hallway, and kitchen cabinet lights).
Blinds & Curtains: Open curtains fully and set all window blinds to a consistent level/angle across the house.
Ceiling Fans OFF: Turn off all ceiling fans so the blades don't blur during photos.
Pet Supplies & Pets: Secure pets away comfortably and hide food bowls, litter trays, crates, and pet toys out of sight.
